After being in the heat for about an hour, started having strange eye symptoms, blurry right half of right eye, pain and pressure behind left. Is this ON? How long does it last? Do I need to go to the hospital?

Try avoiding the heat and wearing a good pair of sunglasses. My right eye gets blurry and shuts completely due to light sensitivity. I use acupressure to alleviate my eye pain.

Thanks for the tip! It was wierd, and seemed to go away after about an hour in the A/C and some lunch. Now I just feel a little weaker than normal. Its such a disconcerting symptom...

Many with MS are heat intolerant.
What your experiencing is due to the heat and the reason air conditioning made you felt better.
Air condtioning, cool showers, cold drinks and cooling devices (vests, scarfs, ect) will help during the summer heat and if you get over heated during exercise.
The weakness is also the result of getting overheated. It may take awhile for you not to feel weak.

Odd that today, despite staying in the A/C, starting to have the eye isue again, almost at the exact same time as yesterday, though not nearly as severe....odd. It gradually went away ysesterday...and now its back though much milder...odd

Sometimes the affect of getting overheated can hang around for a day, two or more. It varies for each person. Since you are seeing some improvement hopefully this is just a Pseudo-Exacerbation.
A Pseudo-Exacerbation - symptoms that are caused by heat, viruses, infections. Self limiting - when the infection, virus or heat subsides symptoms will usually start to improve.
Unfortunately, it's also possible to end up in a exacerbation (relapse, attack, flare-up) due to heat that IS NOT a pseudo-exacerbation.

One bad day can leave you with less energy for 2-3 days (at least for me). You might want to determine your temperature zone and mind the weather. Mine is about 52-80 (Fahrenheit) (about 15-27 degrees Celsius). Of course it depends on the humidity/heat index or the wind chill. When summer is here, I am generally indoors from 9:00 AM until 4:00 or 5:00 PM.
I have a key chain with a thermometer on it. I also use a cooling vest and hat I got through the MSAA Cooling Program.

The hat is more like a booney hat. It has a wide brim and has gel crystals. You soak it in water and after the gel has absorbed the water it works for 4-5 hours. With the high humidity in Florida, I do not know if it would be effective or not. When I was in Japan, some baseball pitchers would wear a cabbage leaf under their baseball cap. :)
Florida is nice, for me, in the winter! Summers- I imagine I would have to hibernate until nightfall or the winter!

We also live in Florida and the heat is taking a toll on my husband as well. I even posted a new thread last week regarding the heat (among other things). The Cooling Vest was a God Send for my husband. Although, nothing can fully help the symptoms, this has made the heat alot more tolerable for him.
