I am wondering if you can be sedated to have this done. I also suffer from anxiety and the last time I was scheduled to have this done I was unable to due to an anxiety attack. I really want to have it done by I am wondering if I will be able to stay still for 2 hours w/ the camera above me.

If it is the same test I had, it only took 45 minutes and I didn't have to hold still for more than a few seconds at a time. Basically you drink a couple of barium shakes and they take an x-ray every 15 minutes until the barium reaches your colon. Some people take longer than others (up to 4 hours). They let me sit in a chair and read in between x-rays. I am an anxious person and this test was no big deal.
