Hello,

I had some H.Pylori that was diagnosed in January. I had the quadruple medication treatment, and a Balloon PY test I had in March said that the H. Pylori was gone. Yesterday, I asked my GI what were the odds that there could have been a reoccurence of H. Pylori? He said that unless I've traveled outside of the country, and drank any contaminated water, then I shouldn't have a return of H. Pylori. Should I take his word for it? Is this true? Please let me know your opinion.

I had H-Pylori 4 yrs ago, you do not have to travel out of the country to get it. I now have it again. I did go to Mexico 1 yr ago. I can tell the symptoms immediately now! From what I read everybody has this in their system but in some people it lays dorment & it others it show up.

Thanks for the reply, but since the last post I had a test supposedly better than the breath test, I had a stool test and it revealed that their is no sign of H.Pylori.
