There are no side effects of HPV infection. If you have genital warts from HPV, you will notice a single or a cluster of flesh colored growths in the genital area. There are no signs or symptoms of HPV infection in the cervix. Sometimes there will be warts on the cervix, but not usually. That is why many people do not even know that they have HPV until they have been tested.
