What do I do? My scrotum is beat red, sometimes itchy, and sometimes has a "heat" sensation. This does not involve the shaft of the penis, nor are there any lesions or blisters. It's just RED. I went to the doctor, and he says its jock itch. But after using the creams for over a week, they're still not helping. What should I do? Is this contagious through sex to the female? I have used a condom with sex before so I'm not sure how this happened. Any advice?

I think Jock itch is a fungus. See if the doc can change the prescription or increase the dosage if you aren't getting any results.

Summer is a tough time on our equipment, lots of sweat and humidity and a breeding ground for jock itch and other irritations. I'd try using LotriminAF Spray. You can buy it over the counter and it cleared me up pretty quick. Follow the directions and use it as instructed. Also, keep the area clean and dry as possible.....let it air out as much as you can although unless you are in a nudist colony that is tough to do. You may also try using Gold Bond powder during the day after you have cleared up the other stuff. Let us know if this doesn't work! Remember, this is a tough one to deal with especially since you keep putting on clothes, sweating and staying warm and humid.
