I had my MRCP today - gosh I was nervous. I am so scared they will find cancer or something.
I had my gallbladder removed September 2008 - about two months later started to get pain in my stomach and felt like tightening around my waist. I felt back pain and nausau along with beltching. I was back and forth to the doctor for 6 months had a pancritis test, h-ployria, and I had my blood checks white blood count checked and all came back negative. My liver enzymes are normal. I saw a gasterologist last week and today I had a MRCP to check for a possible stone left in my duct.
What I am afraid of is that is that they will find cancer in the xray. I had every blood test wouldn't it show?
I feel that stress did this to me and it is all in my head - I have panic attacks. This past year has been really bad for me. My husband changed jobs, I had my gallbladder surgery, I ended up with walking pneumonia, my kids kept getting sick during the winter. So all of this stressed me out. The economy stressed me out. I think I did this to myself with panic attacks. I kept believing I have something wrong and my adrenline flowed through my body and that is why my back hurt. I do notice if I meditate the nausau and tightness goes away.
What does everyone think?

You are getting a lot more done than I am. I had my GB out 12/07 and went downhill, then a little better but I still get severe cramping, nausea and sometimes upper left pain. It all comes and goes and my GI (3rd one) said they couldn't find anything and threw some pills at me. I stopped going to the doc and I've just been dealing with it. There are times I think I can't do it anymore, but I do.
How did you get them to listen? They never checked my pancreatic enzymes, never did an ERCP or MRCP.
I just figure it something I have to live with.
I hope things come out OK with the MRCP, I think something serious would have shown by now.

Have you had an endoscopy? Sounds like you might need one. Let me assure you worrying will cause you to feel sick, when I'm anxious I feel so sick and have a horrible tight sensation in my chest. I can't eat anything, I can't stand the smell of food. As for your other symptoms could be gastritis, hiatus hernia, I have both, picked up by an endoscopy. I take nexium and am symptom free. Takes about 2 months on the nexium to heal the stomach though. I hope you have some answers soon, I know how you're feeling, there's nothing worse than worrying about your health. I was worried I had stomach cancer before the endoscopy. Let us know how you get on.

I am right there with you - and yes I think I brought this on myself. I feel my chest being tight and I am having multiple panic attacks. I called the xray place today and asked how you send over fax or call. Come to find out the results are sitting on his desk and he hasn't called me yet. I will have an edoscopy if these test come out negative. I feel this is brought on by my nerves and stress. I tried all kinds of stomach medicines prescription and everything and it doesn't work.
