I recently found out i got genital warts from my boyfriend..i had them treated with nitrogen and also im using a solution called wartec. my first episode was fine after 2 weeks or so but now a few months later, despite no sex at all theyve come back. Im in south america now and cant really take care of it now. but once i do and theyre gone again, will i be able to have sex with my boyfriend without a condom or will we have to use condoms forever, even if we both dont have the visible warts?

If you both have the virus, whether or not you use condoms is a decision the 2 of you must make. You both may shed the virus, even when warts are not present. This is why condoms are not 100% in protecting against HPV. However they do dramatically reduce the risk of transmission to an non-infected partner.
