I had Lasik 2 weeks ago and am now 20/30 in the left eye and 20/60 in the right eye. My vision is unchanged from 1 week ago. My doctor said that my left eye is undercorrected and will not likely get a lot better without another surgery. I keep reading online that people say to be patient, that it will get better. Maybe they didn't have so far to go in getting better. Has anyone else ended up 20/20 after being 20/60 2 weeks post op? How much improvement can one expect after 2 weeks?

My 1 week post op was at 20/80 left and 20/40 right. My left eye was worse because my contact fell off(PRK patient) and it hurt so much I used too much of those numbing drops which caused a lot of haze. At my 1 month post op my left eye was at 20/25 and right 20/20, I'm just waiting for my left eye to catch up because even though the difference isn't too much its still messing up my vision a bit at close up but looking at objects far away is very good.

I had lasik two weeks ago also...1 day post op left and right eyes 20/80....1 week post op left eye 20/30, right eye 20/60...2 weeks post op left eye 20/25, and right eye 20/50...I had a lot of corneal swelling in my right eye...still waiting for that to reduce...visual improvements seen daily. Considering my vision was 20/400 and something pre lasik...I'm just kicking back and enjoying the transformation!

Thanks for the responses. I am noticing a difference. When I soak my corneas in Thera Tears, vision briefly improves to 20/20. And by briefly, I mean 20 seconds or so. Left eye stays between 20/20 and 20/30. Right eye fluctuates between 20/20 to 20/80, depending on the amount and timing of drops. There is enough difference in the left and right that everything is off. I'm really looking forward to getting this healing phase over.

I too am noticing fluctuations in my eyes and that my left and right just aren't in sync with each other. Thankfully I think they are just barely out of sync as it doesn't bother my too much unless I focus on it. I'm 3 weeks post-op today and going to try and rest my eyes more often. I have a computer job that just strains my eyes, plus getting on at night at home and then watching TV. I'm thinking if I avoid some of these things for a bit it would take some stress of my eyes and allow them to heal faster.

I'm 5 weeks post op and at the one month check, my vision was 20/20 with both eyes working together (and mine were done for monovision). However, I am still dealing with wild fluctuations in vision throughout the day. Some days I wake up and it's sharp straight away and then it fades. Other days, it sharpens in the afternoon then fades towards the late evening. I just make the most of the moments when I'm seeing well, and I keep putting the drops in. I'm the most impatient person in the world, and I am frustrated that it hasn't stabilised yet, but I've been told it can take 3-6 months for full healing to occur. So I'm trying to just bide, and stay positive. :-)
