I recently encountered some blood in my urine. The instance occurred on a day following a marathon run of 26 miles and I was about 14 miles into consecutive days running that distance. There was some burning after urination and I then visited a nephrologist for review
My bun was 28 and creatinine was 1.40 on the second day following this event. This occurred about 6 weeks ago and since that time I have had an ultra sound on kidneys - showing no issues, a cystoscopy - showing a good bladder and slight prostate swelling and a 24 hour urinalysis with blood drawn just last week with a BUN of 16, Creatinine fo 1.36 and eGFR of 54. I would like someone familiar with this information to give me their thoughts/ideas. Should I pursue this further? a CT scan on kidneys with dye analysis?
