One of my friends recommeded hair plugs to me. Was wonderting if anyone else out there has tried them - do they look natural? About how long do they last for?

I have a woman friend who did the real hair implant thing. They took a donor patch from the back of her head where the hair grows thick. They then divided up the harvested follicles individually. They then applied the individual hairs to her front hairline that was receding very rapidly. They had already punched holes in the front hairline in a strategic manner so they were ready. The whole effect was very natural. Very expensive, but well worth it to her.
She researched many doctors and found one in Chicago that she ultimately used. I don't know who he is. Good luck.

It all depends on the doctor. I've seen people <WITH>great results and I've seen awful results. Consult with several doctors. Ask to see before and after photos (be sure to ask if he/she performed the surgery rather than bought sample photos, it DOES happen).

hair plugs are very expensive. So my brother dropped the idea of giving it a shot. But it seems, the results are great.

yeah, I know its quiet expensive. But if its worth it, I would like to give it a try. But the prob is to find the best specialist doctor who would do a great job.

Some notable physicians that have a good reputations for doing state of the art hair transplants are Dr. Alan Feller (NYC), Dr. Robert True (NYC), Dr Robert Bernstein (NYC) Dr. Jim Harris (Colorado), Dr. Alan Bauman in Boca Raton, Florida and Jeffrey Epstein in Miami Florida.
Allen Feller is really good.
