There are a ton of websites out there dealing with LASIK. Whether they are any good is debatable. Just do a Google search. What specifically are you wanting to know?

I have also found a lot of resources and directories. I'm just trying to find out as much as I can about various types of lasers and try to figure out what the difference is in price which can range from pretty cheap to really expensive.

I found my best resource not to be any online info., instead I sought out people who had lasik....everyone I talked to had positive outcomes. Next I asked who they had do their surgery. Combining that info. with my eye docs recommendation, I found my surgeon. I don't think the internet paints an even remotely clear picture of the positive side of lasik. MOST OF ALL, DO NOT GO TO THE MALL FOR A KIOSK STYLE LASIK SPECIAL Most of the horror stories are avoidable by following a reputable docs pre and post op directions EXACTLY.

I think eye hospitals are the best, they have the money to buy 2 or 3 types of lasers to use what's best for you. There are so many variables. And I think they will tell you the truth, other places gotta pay the rent. Pupil size, cornea shape, thickness, how steep you are can all make you more likely to have side effects. Make sure you don't wear contacts for at least a week before your evaluation so they can see true shape.

Just like plastic surgery, if you are expecting perfection you are not a good candidate. I would have still been happy with some irregularites. I was that miserable with contacts/glasses. I scuba and snorkel and think Lasik is wonderful.

Good Luck

I made a free appointment and ended up deciding not to get Lasik. Oh well, maybe some other time.
