if i have herpes do i need to have a blood test and and should i b checked to see if i have any lesions?

How do you know that you have it? Yes I would suggest an IgG type specific blood test. But if the infection is new within the last 3-4 months it may not show up as it takes 3-4 months for the antibodies to build up in your system.:)
