How long after i get HPV would symptoms start to show if i have the type that gives genital warts?

Anywhere from six weeks to 6 months or longer. I have read that some people can have it for 2 years and never have an outbreak of warts and not even know they have it and then suddenly have an outbreak. I think it just depends on your immune system.
