My 24 yr old son went to the ER yesterday and they did a CAT scan and said he had a 3mm kidney stone. He was discharged with pain meds and antinausea medication. He continued to vomit last night and today. It has now been 24 hrs since discharge and he does not believe he has passed the stone yet. The MD told him he thought that he would pass the stone within 12-18 hrs. He is now running at temp of 101, with chills. He is having difficulty in voiding and is having lower back pain. Should we go back to the ER tonight?

I hope you took your son to the ER and that he's doing better now. Let us know what happened.
