i was diagnosed by a doctor who said i have MCV (molluscum contagium virus). Is this a HPV?

I've never heard of MCV until I just searched for it. I would say they are not the same virus. It sounds to me like they have some similarities, though (skin to skin transmission, can be spread during sexual contact, etc).
