Because the virus travels along the nerves that end in the nether regions and this includes the booty.. :)

from a dirty toilet seat -though the lesion can appear anywhere along the nerve - it usually surfaces and the site of infection.. yes yes yes absolutely can get it from a toilet seat.. especially if lesion is on the back side
atlease u dont have to have painful sex - that is a plus

U can not get it from a toilet seat.. not from inanimate objects.. but from skin to skin contact... and if at all possible if someone rubs off enough of the virus into a damp towel..then someone else uses like a second after there is a slight chance that it can be transmitted but that is a rare instance.

i have to adamantly beg to differ with you........ you think this is a blood born virus that cant survive outside the body??////////// ofcourse it can.. use your head .. anyone who says other wise is just plain stupid.. and probably listening to something they were taught (wrongly) for what ever reason,....... most children get hpv 1 - from inanimate objects..... h1 and h2 are not differnt even anyway . except to preference of location in the nercvous system. i challange to tell me the difference between a h1 sore and h2 sore..

try this an an example..i have an OB on my vaginal and then i sit on your butt naked while I am giving you a back rub, wow! skin to skin contact... I agree with angel this is NOT a blood born virus, it is not passed through toliet seats , shower stalls, if I touch a chair with my hand and then you go behind me and touch it , are you going to catch herpes...NO NO!!! If I go and touch my body in an infected area and then don't wash my hands and then come and touch you, hell yeah the chance is there , its small, but the bigger chance would be is if you come into direct contact with the infected area.. skin to skin , last time I checked a toliet seat was not human flesh! We are all here for a reason, some of us angry, some sad, NUMB whatever, but education is what this site is about and helping people, lets not blow things up more and cause more stigma, isn;t there enough! sorry I vented and I am not an expert or a medical doctor, but I have herpes and there is enough to deal with in this world then hypocrits.
