Thanks Pitcherred for the prompt reply. But I was reading through many articles on the web and few of them say that its hereditary? Is this a myth?

Are you a doctor? Can you help incase I need?

Thanks a million. God bless you.
Regards
Sachin

Parkinson's seem be hereditary in some cases as you suggested. Others that get PD there is no apparent cause but there are associated environmental factors that seem to contribute such as pesticides etc. To my knowledge the responses you get will more than likely be from other patients as I don't believe doctor's respond to these forums normally.

I was told only 5% of cases are hereditary.

no, I am not a doctor. I am a biochemist and civil engineer. I know they really don't mix.

I shouldn't have said that disease such as this are not hereditary. They are opportunistic as in an infection. There are hereditary dispositions. Though as humans you would be amazed how similar we all really are. Just if we all eat the same things and lived in the same climates.. most would get similar illnesses. Some sooner , some later, but most would be identical irregardless to parenting.
