I've had a nail-biting problem for over 10 years, and now I've almost gotten over it. My nails have started growing back, but there is a problem. All my friends have the white part of their nails after the nail lenght surpasses the fingertip, but mine is very before that, over the flesh; and it doesn't look good. How can I fix this problem?

You can't fix it. After years of biting your nail plate off, the underlying nail bed has turned into 'real' skin and the nail plate cannot adhere to this type of skin. What you see now, you will always see.

But it's too unbelievable to be true! I was too young back then, and I wasn't even able to think of what my action's consequences could be. That's too unfair to leave a permanent damage!
