Hi,
Here is the story so far.
Three months ago I got shingles. As a result my right armpit lymph node enlarged. I remember sleeping from the other side because of this. So I went to a dermotologst (I had also the shingles rash) and she told me me that I had it and I will be ok. The rash left but the node remained. It also seemed to change in size (reducing and then these days enlarged again). However, I have not the discomfort in my arm that I was feeling the first day so I assume is smaller from the first day.
Then 2 months ago I got a pain in the throat and sinus. I felt my neck and I found an another lump! 1 cm next to the upper part of my larynx. So I did blood tests (blood count+infection marker) and a neck ultrasound. Everything came back normal and as the pain in the throat left and I had only sinus I was relaxed. Also the lump now 2 month later seems smaller.
Then a few days ago I was having stomach noises and diarrhea. And two lumps come up to my groin! Again ultrasound in my abdomen this time. It showed two nodes 0.71 and 0.79cms in my right groin again. Today the diarrhea has gone but the lumps they are still there.
I am also waiting the results of an another blood exam and a chest x-ray tomorrow.
So what it can be? Lymphoma? Today I have 4 nodes, the biggest in my armpit (I think a little more than 1 cm) and the rest smaller. No other symptoms expect sinus in my throat. Can not do fine needle biopsy as the nodes are too small. I am so worried. I searched the internet to see if my blood results indicate cancer but they seem good. My ESR is 3 and I read that 40% of the people with lymphoma have it over 5 and my whites are in the middle of the normal range.
Any ideas anyone? With similar symptoms? I been to several doctors and all say to me to relax but he nodes are still there. Please reply to me with anything that can be. I am really very worried and tired from this

Hi.
The fact that several doctors have told you to relax, should tell you something.
I know it's rough, but our lymph glands fight infection, and it's not uncommon for them to swell, when doing so.
It does sound symptomatic of something.
Have they considered an antibiotic for you?

If memory serves me, shingles are related to stress, so -- perhaps you need to stay off the internet & try to calm yourself. I know it's a hard thing to do, when you're unwell, but sometimes we are our own "worst enemy."

The best of luck to you.
