I just had a mini panic attack from my lpr i believe, does anyone get these? Its just the fact the LPR irritates my throat and I clear it and clear it and then it swells and I think Im gonna choke and start to panic! Its definitely not fun, last year I went to the ER with panic attacks 3 times last year.

Count me in. I get them when something feels stuck and won't budge and even on days that I can't do a thing except cough. I have to take a Xanax and try and relax or even take a nap. It's bad enough experience without the panic.

Me too! I deal with the LPR and panic along with it. The swelling of the throat with constant mucus. It is a fairly common occurance. I just try to relax and take my meds and watch the food and drinks I am consuming. This is part of the condition. This too shall pass. Hang in there! You don't suffer alone at all.

Tedd.....What meds are you traking and how often? Don't they help with the mucus? Nexium took mine away (knock on wood) I also have not had anything to drink except water for the last 2 month. Boy do i miss my wine.
Sometimes I have to wonder if this reflux has " a fungal condition" as a friend.

I am on Prevacid. It's only been 2 to 3 weeks. I think I need to be on it longer and to watch my foods more closely. When I cheat with the wrong food or drink it still effects me. Perhaps it takes weeks to heal the damage. Back in Jan. I watched everything so closely for 4 weeks and thought I was healed up. But here this summer I am back in trouble with this. And I miss the wine and a good ole Coke real bad. :(

You are not alone....
