I have some weird mental thing.
I love music okay? My favorite genres are Trance, Japanese Pop, and Happy Hardcore. For several months this has be anguishing me. Here's an example; I love KOTOKO's Short Circuit albums. My mind keeps telling me to get rid of the songs because they sound like something from the 80's. Another example; my mind keeps telling me to get rid of certain songs because there not one of the genres I usually listen to. Like I keep getting rid of and taking back "JUMPER" by capsule and "Crystal World [teranoid Remix]" by Lia. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME!? I'm fourteen by the way! Is there any sites or anything to help me? Sorry, if this is in the wrong section!
Oh, yeah. My doctor says its NOT OCD!!

Doctors can sometimes be wrong, that's why it pays to get a second opinion if you don't agree with what the first had to say.
To me it sounds like OCD (perhaps a mild case?--these things come in different degrees) or something similar. A perfectionistic personality can also be involved with compulsions like this.
But there are many things to consider. Obsession with sorting and/or "order" is common with many types of mental differences. People with ADD and ADHD are known to very commonly have OCD-like tendencies. Try to take a more fluid look at things, rather than looking for the precise cause of the problem, as these things are not always simple.
If the problem really bothers you and it keeps recurring, you can try seeing a different doctor, or even do some research by yourself.

I'm going to try and get an second opinion. It dose really bother me. The creepy thing is I'm NOT an perfectionist. I just act this way over music and books. I can't find anything on the subject though. It's like I'm the only one who acts like this over music and books. ><

Hi, and welcome to the boards.
I am certainly no expert on OCD, but I am a (OK, old) person who is surrounded by a generation of music experts, music lovers, and musicians. For those who have a great passion and lifelong bond with music, it typically starts at a young age, and grows in different stages throughout life.
While your tastes change, your music will change. What your favorites are today, will not be your favorites of tomorrow. Rather than judge the music, and rid yourself of the music that you have enjoyed before...keep it. Build yourself your own personal library of music. You don't need to play it, if you don't feel like it. Music can be like an old faithful friend, hearing an old song can bring you back to the very day in your life that you remember it by. Some songs will make you cry, others will make you laugh.
If you are concerned about the effect the music is having on you, I would seek the help from your parents...if you have that kind of relationship. I also have a 14 year old son, so I know there is a lot going on at your age. You can't imagine all the changes you are going through right now, hormonally, emotionally, and physically. You are not alone with this.
Hopefully just taking about it will help, and we are always hear to listen, if you need us. keep us posted, OK?

What kind of access do you have to medical care? You certainly do not want to become terrified of something you are reading about, without any evaluation by a professional.

That is a fine place to start. Get an appointment just to discuss this issue. You doctor should take it from there. I wish you well.
