Hey all...I have had HPV (or the warts, I should say) since the middle of June. It's been a roller coaster ride for me as I have been dealing with military doctors.

I originally went in for intermittent vaginal burning and intense pressure and urgency with my bladder. My provider didn't address this but quickly told me I had warts and gave me Condylox...sent me packing with instructions to q-tip it on.

So, I tried...but I'm not sure how a person can get anything on this particular area without hitting tender skin. After three treatments and even MORE vaginal burning, I gave up. I went back in and asked for a referral to a civilian gyn, which I finally got approved for last week. My appointment was this afternoon.

Anyway...my warts are like a large "plaque" for the lack of a better word. They are located right at the entrance to my va-j-j...I believe the term is "posterior forchette"?? I have two random ones kinda mixed into the fleshy part as well. They are all white-ish grey. My gyno was a bit taken aback when she saw them today and had another doctor come in to see.

So, I guess my first question is, anybody else on here have warts in that same location that look like this? Should I be concerned that the kind of wart I have is not too common?

Second question...If you have/had warts here...did you experience any burning without itching? Did you have bladder issues? She checked today...no bladder infection.

Also...she Rxed Aldara for me to use. Um....I'm a little skitzed. Everything down there is so tender and the idea of using something else that is reported to burn and ulcerate..(especially that needs applied with q-tip and mirror all at the same time)...well, it isn't too appealing.

So that leads me to question three: Have any of you had experience with this treatment in this particular area? How was it?

I don't know what to do...:( I obviously want the treatment that has the best result on this area. I don't want problematic issues / scarring after I am done with this treatment.

Is there anybody out there that can give me adivce/ opinions?

Thanks new friends....

Hey there, I too, had genital warts around the entrance to the vagina. I was given Aldara to use. Although it will sting and you will feel discomfort, the cream was effective in getting rid of the warts in that area for me. Just make sure you don't use too much. Just dab a bit on there before you go to bed. It's best to use it every other day, or 3x a week, like MWF.

Hi NotMyYear. I don't have any experience with genital warts or their treatments. I know there are many people on this board who have used Aldara. I assume it was effective since they never came back and said it wasn't.

I wish I could offer more information than that.

Thanks for the responses...I decided to put off treating with aladra (or anything else) until I go back to the doctor on this next Tuesday, due to the fact that my vagina is possessed, lol.

Seriously...ever since the warts appeared, I have had this intermittiant vaginal / vulvular burning and urinary urgency....not a day before.

It comes and it goes and I am so frustrated that I could cry. All last week I was fine and then yesterday...BOOM...burning like I have a yeast infection and after I go to the bathroom, it feels like I still need to go.

TMI...sorry...I really do have a question here...could it be the warts that are "fire-ing" up off and on like this?...maybe with the fluctuations of my cycle hormones? Can HPV or the warts themselves cause you to have vulvadinya or symptoms that mimic it....or a yeast infection?

Also...the doc had said something about lasering them...is that a good idea in that area?
