You, the mother, has no control over the sex of the child. The sperm that the man carried determines the gender of the child. There are all sorts of rumors that wearing boxer shorts instead of briefs will give you one sex over the other, but I don't think that there is any valid data. I don't think we have quite produced genetic selection just yet. Have we?

It's not up to you to decide. Whatever you get is whatever you get. I really don't support people who sit there and try to play God with children. You should consider yourself lucky that you can even have kids, sorry. My sister had a miscarriage 5 years ago and hasn't been able to get pregnant since then. She and her husband want a baby so badly that they would feel blessed no matter what they had, boy or girl.

You need to stop looking at babies as being property and start seeing them for what they are. A blessing. And if you're blessed with the ability to bear children then you shouldn't be so picky to decide you must have a girl. That's really selfish of you. What if you end up having a boy, are you going to hate it or something? This kind of thing really burns me. Maybe I'd feel differently if my neice didn't die before she was ever born, but I just think people take their ability to have kids way for granted and some people frankly shouldn't even be allowed to be parents in the first place. If you spent any time at the mall near where I used to live, you'd see what I mean.
