Less than a week ago I was diagnosed atypical bipolar. My partner, dragoncat, has bipolar II. I had been going through some deep depression for a while, and she urged me to seek treatment. My depression would come and go over the course of each day, so my doc started me on a combination of Prozac and Zyprexa. Later I was taken off of Zyprexa and given Seroquel, and I started getting hyper and bouncing off the walls. That was when we knew I had more than just depression.

Now I'm taking Zyprexa again but at a lower dose so that it doesn't keep me drowsy all day, and I'm starting on Lamictal building up towards a maintenance dose. I've also stayed on Prozac all along.
