I had a circumcision performed on me 5 months ago because of phimosis. However, the swelling under the head, and the oversensitivity of the head itself, is still the same as it was a couple of weeks after the surgery. My doctor says that it takes time for the tissue under the head to heal and that everything is normal, but everything I read and hear about it talks about swelling lasting for 1 week to a month. Needless to say that I am starting to get worried 5 months after the facts.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Since you haven't had an answer ...

I don't know much about circumcision but I knew a guy who was cut as a teenager. He had one hell of a time for a month but after that he was ok.

Your doctor says "everything is normal". Either trust him or go see another one. At five months, if everything is not ok, I'd be seeing another doctor.
