Hi everyone, My appointment I guess was ok. I recieved a call from the DR's office one hour before my scheduled appt, wanting to confirm the appt.
When I arrived I filled out a two page very simple paper asking what my
medical conditions were, meds, my pain and when I get it.

I then was weighed and blood pressure checked. I did this grippy thing I gues they could tell with that instrument how much I can carry, because it had numbers.
I was then put in a room, a couple minutes later, this expression less DR. walked in asked me when I was first DX with Lupus, how the pain affects me, so I told him, he seemed to concentrate on the pain part, I hope that was good. When he toched my shoulders and knees it hurt, and he would ask me if my joints hurt daily and if I get flare-ups alot.
It was kind of funny when he touched my knees, because I kind of laughed but with pain, and when he tested my reflexes on my knees, I did the same thing too, I told him it hurts I didn't mean to laugh alittle, it really did hurt and I have never laughed. He also had me walk a litle, lift my arms, bend down, I could only lift halfways up, only bend a little, due to pain on joints that day were really bad, I didn't my meds beacuase I had a 25min drive and didn't want to drive because sometimes I feel worse with them, like more spacy.
He asked me a few times if I had was scheduled to see a pschyitrist?, I said no. I wonder why he asked.
When I was done the front receptionist did tell me they had just recieved notice of my appt when they had called. Also, I only found out about this appt. when I called my local SSD office to check status because or I would have missed this appt. because no letter came in mail.

I just wanted you all to know how my appointment was. I'm glad he concentrated on the pain of Lupus and Fibromyalgia.

Good post sbella,

Maybe your doctor asked if you were scheduled to see a psychiatrists due to some of the medications you are taking. Or perhaps if you've been diagnosed with depression SSD may want to schedule you with one of their psychiatrists.

Hope all goes well for you
