the new 400 mg carbamazepine xt 400 mg round brown t pill is just too big for my sister to take. She is blind and partially handicapped, i give them to her in the morning and one at night. Even though she hasnt had a seizure in over ten years the doc for some reason changed her prescription to this bigger pill that is time released or something. its twice as big and i almost had to call 911 this morning because she was choking. it eventually coughed out.

I won't go through this nervousness and thinking about whether or not she is gonna choke everyday.

It says do not crush or chew.

Can i split it down the middle, even with that the edges look awful and doesnt even look that much smaller after splitting for some reason.

My mom is at work when i give her the pills and she is like oh your over reacting and we don't get along, she is always right and im allways wrong.

Not positive but I don't think you can split time release meds. Maybe call the pharmacy. Hopefully they will know better.

I take Potassium which is like a horse pill. It is the same. You can split it. Although, you can dissolve it in water. It is just disgusting if you do it.
