I ripped my entire thumbnail from root to tip off and have waited for it to grow out. My nails already grow out in a scoop, so now the nail has hit the lip of my thumbtip and cannot pass. I have tried keeping dry hoping the hardened nail would make it's way over. I have tried keeping it moist, thinking the soft nail tissue could grow over. It is really painful and the nail growth is getting backed up causing it to wrinkle and buckle. I try pulling my thumbtip down but it really hurts. What should I do at this point?
