I recently went to the ER 2 days ago after experiencing severe pain in the lower back and vomiting with no ability to keep anything down. Blood was found in my urine sample and a CT scan was done. While it didn't show any stones, the doctor guessed that I had recently passed one and was feeling the after effects. He prescribed some lortab to deal with the pain and sent me home.
Since then, the lortab has dealt with the pain in my back, but I am still unable to hold down any solid foods for more than an hour or two, and I've developed severe pains in my stomach that seem to switch between gnawing hunger-like pains and severe bloating pain. (There is usually no nausea accompanying this until a few minutes before I vomit, just the pain.) It has gotten so bad that sleeping has become very, very difficult and the lortab does not seem to effect it at all. I am at wits end, I am exhausted from both lack of sleep and lack of food, in constant pain, and have no idea what, if anything I can do about it.
Any advice would be extremely helpful at this point.
