I can't seem to get rid of them. Had total Hysterectomy about 2 1/2 years ago, and now I get hot flashes very often. I have learned to wear clothes that I can peal off easily and in the summer I have to crank my air conditioning. Anyone with similar problems and what do you do for it?

I had a complete hysterectomy at age 39. I was on Estorgen for 11 months. I felt it better for myself and family if I quit using it. My hot flashes were a nightmare. I have found 2 years later that too much sugar and carbohydrates trigger "hotter" flashes. With my diet I am more comfortable eating six small meals a day, watching and limiting sugar and carbs.

While I did not have a hysterectomy, I can relate with the hot flushes. I go the natural route with Black Cohosh and Soy (refer to my comments under heading "Is Cohosh....."). I hope this helps you too.

Hi,
I too was suffering with hot flashes and tried taking Andrew Lessman's Wellness For Women (twice a day). The symptoms finally stopped when I added Remifemin to the mix twice a day. After only one day I felt a difference. I was wondering if anyone knows if progesterone cream would also be beneficial as a natural way to go?

wow, great replies. I have now been taking the Black Cohosh and Soy. I haven't given it enought time to give an answer as to whether or not it is helping yet. Here's hoping it does.
Thanks for your responses... Kathryn
