Hormones are like a river. They are forever changing in your body. You could measure your hormones 5 times in one day and get 5 drastically different readings. The doctors don't tell you this because they get kickbacks from the pharmceutical companies. It's kind of like this sick oath that's unspoken but true. Doctors don't usually tell on each other until subpeaned into court. I'm not saying that they are all like this that would be completely bigoted. I belive that the vast majority of them are this way.
Balancing our hormones has to be approached from using our symptoms as our primary guide.
I'm almost 42 and have suffered from severe pms since my late twenties. I'm now probably aproaching perimenopause but I don't want to lable it anymore. My girlfriend and a few other ladies I know swear by the natural hormone replacement aproach with using our symptoms as our guide.
I'm going to follow the suggestion of my friend and aquaintences and try this approach with the guideance of doctortodoctor.com. It's a wealth of information that I personally believe in because of all of the research I've done on the subject and personal experience.
I'll keep you posted. Check out the website yourself. There is hope!
