I am new here. I think I am starting menopause, my periods have been coming every 21-23 days, than the usual 28-30. My periods have always been heavy, but this last on, the last few days of it I'm having a dull ache in my hip and top of my leg, and also tenderness over my ovaries. Anyone else experience this? Thank you

Oh you get all sorts of weird and unusual things happen when your hormones start changing around. You are experiencing what they call now as periomenopause. The period before menopause when everything starts going wonky. Diet can help. Cut out caffine, cigarettes, drink lots and lots of water, eat more fruit and veges. Everything we were supposed to be doing anyhow. A couple friends of mine take evening primrose oil and they feel that helps them. A couple of others on this board take some other herbs that seem to help them. If your symptoms get really bad better check with a dr. to make sure that it is nothing else. Your thyroid hormones can go wonky during this time also so keep a check on them too. There is lots of info on the net. One site I like is landolinks.com (could be Landolinks) Search engine should find it. Good luck.
