I'm 52 and have been havinf hot flashes for a few years, not too bad, especially if I try and avoid sugar and starches..but that's not an issue with me tho..What is very concerning to me is that I have found lately it very hard if not at times impossible for me to have an orgasam....This is the one thing that makes me feel old!!..Does nayone have any advice, I'd rather not take the male hormone I have heard about for this....does this have to be part of menapaus?..Cause I can deal with just about anything but this!...

I haven't had a problem with orgasms, however, my sex drive has suffered as I've aged. I didn't want to take hormones either and started taking natural supplements instead. Soy isoflavones took care of the hot flashes and helped my sex drive. Maybe it could help your situation too. They're widely available and very safe to use.

Another thing is proper exercise. Muscle mass and tone is so much harder to maintain as we age. My fitness routine includes Kegel exercises which definitely helps with sexual sensation.
