Does anyone know how to help husbands cope with menapause? I am trying to understand but the frequent rages are creating quite a strain on our relationship. We are now seperated at my wife's request.

Thanks.

Trying the liberary is a good start, but also you can go to the dr, and discuss your concerns with him , with your wife. As you said, you are in this together, the rages afect your household. I hope things work out, this is just another part of the jounery, and the good news is, it gets a lot better! You can also see a therapist with your wife.

Thanks for the suggestions. It is very painful for us as a family. I know it must be for her. I always thought this period of life was an "old man's tale" along with PMS. This is serious stuff and a major learning experience in humbleness and understanding a a man.

Thanks again.

Good for you, Your poor wife does need professional help. there are medications and natural herbs that can help. Thank god my husband chose now to be compassionate to my "condition" as we call it humorously. He thinks he's going through it too, sweats, flashes, etc. (make-believe) try some humor too. I am taking medication (celexa) b/c of other tradgedies in our life. It helps a great deal to ease anxiety, rages, the blues, depresssion etc. without drowsy or drugged feeling. It's wonderfull. Don't know if this is part of it, but I have lost 15 lbs. back down to 105 lbs. (5'1") I'm feeling sooooo much better. I'm only 47 yrs. old. IT DOES GET BETTER. Ask her to read this. Everybody has difference symptons. She should read this site. just for herself. Good lick.
