How long did it take to get your decision in the mail after your hearing?

My hearing was June 24, and my rep told me last week, that I might hear something by Christmas.

She also told me that one of her clients waited 13 months, only to get a denial.

It seems that some judges try to get the decision out promptly, while other judges don't seem to care...... sigh.

I hope you hear something soon! :)

I had my hearing June 4th, and got my fully approved letter from the judge a little over 4 weeks. They said 1-3 months. This is in Wa state. It's all a waiting game, now I wait for the letter from SS with my benefits and back pay and all that other stuff. After almost 4 years the wait from the hearing was a drop int he bucket. I resovled myself to wait about 3+ months.

It all depends on the state, Wa is smaller then Tx so a smaller wait, but also how far your state is backlogged.

I went in to see judge in sept of 07 and was denied Dec 18th 2007. And I had to call several times about my claim. For me the longer the wait the worse it is. I agree that they are so back logged, and not enough people to care. Good luck

Have you heard anything yet, Wishi?

Nothing. I called yesterday the office of disability and review and it still sits waiting in "unassigned writing". It hasn't moved since I started calling. This is very disappointing. Thanks for asking.

I called the Social Security 800 Number today.

She did some checking and said the average wait time is up to a year at this office.

When I checked a couple of months ago they said the average wait time was 2 months.

I'm at four months now. Its so discouraging.

Oh my Wishi, I hope you don't have to wait a year for judge decision.
That is just way too long.

Hopefully you'll hear something much sooner!! Thinking of you!!!!
