I have a therapist I suspect is not really trying to help me with my disability case. I am in the appeals process. I just saw where she wrote I have stress because of financial problems and that I 'still feel I am unable to work'. Will this hurt my case? Will the appeals council see this and think my problems are only due to financial reasons? I am also diagnosed bi polar and borderline.

I do not see why it would hurt. Common sense tells me, if you can not work and have no income or limited income, it would stand to reason that having limited money & financial woes due to lack of money would cause stress.

Claudia, it's really hard for anyone to say if this will hurt your case or not.
That is for the judge to decide.

If you feel your therapists is not supportive of you filing for disability, you may want another opinion from another therapists. Are any of your doctors supportive of you with disability?

Much of the entire Nation is having financial stress and no or very little income. Due to todays Financial poor economy, the whole disability process could get much harder for one to be approved.

Having your therapists and physicians behind you during the whole disability process is to your advantage. A judge has alot to determine in one's approval, medical records are a important factor.

Wish you well
