My 16 yr old keeps coming down with swollen tonsils about every couple of months. She also has white spots and says it feels like peanut butter is stuck in her throat. We've been to the doctor several times. Diagnosis of viral infection once and an abscessed tonsil once. No meds were prescribed. What can this be.
