This is so frustrating. I've just discovered my finger nail fungus is back.. I took Lamisil for 4 months starting in March of this year. Now what do I do? Please help this is such a setback... I take good care of my nails.. Why? My Doc is going to kick me out of his office. I just had trouble with acne meds a month ago.. I was just there last week...:( Doesn't lamisil stay in your system for a year? thanks to all who reply..............

No, it doesn't stay in your system for a year. After you take your last pill, the effects are totally gone within 30 days - proven fact.
Fungal treatment can take up to a full year to totally kill all the spores that are deep within the soft tissue of the nail bed as well as deep within the layers of the nail plate. You will either need another round of Lamasil or use a ftopical ungal treatment for a long time.
