My mother in law has Cerebral Palsy, it happened when she was still in her mothers womb, oxygen was cut off. Doctors and family had no idea that she had any issues until her sister noticed a problem when she was 3. She did not start crawling until she was 3 and did not start talking until she was 4. Her tremors started when she was 12, they were very light in her right hand. She was able to get married and have two children with no real issues until after her son was born. Symptoms were becoming more of a hassle to every day life, this is when her seizure disorder started and she had her first stroke.
The doctor started her with Valium to calm down so she wouldn’t go into a seizure, doctor ended up switching it to Colozapam. Colozapam makes her very unaware of action and reaction. She is also on Bacolfen and she does do the Botox in the back of her neck, when I had went to the doctor with her he said that the effectiveness will wear out after awhile, her son and I have noticed little to no difference anymore.

She has issues living alone, example, cleanness, hygiene, broken bones from balance issues, she cannot grasp objects in front of her, cannot pull hair back, has a hard time stepping over things, Has no teeth due to periodontal disease, poor eating habits.

It's been a difficult time with caring for someone else that is an adult, but I do enjoy doing it, just wish that her family would help more. Does anyone maybe have any suggestions on new medications and such? Unfortunately she cannot use the Bacolfen pump due to hyigene issues, but if there is anything else you can think of, it's more of a quality of life matter not quantity.
