I have a couple of raised lines under my right armpit. They appeared after a red lump the size of a pea in the same area disapeared. There is no pain, but they feel sinewy and continuous, like rope and are quite thick (about 3mm). They are just under the skin and move when pushed like taught string.
Another red, pea size lump, has appeared under my left armpit, same place as the right.
When I showed my Doctor, he said he had no idea what they were but they weren't a problem and suggested they had always been there, I just hadn't noticed them before.
I can't accept this theory because these are very, very noticeable.
Presumably he would think if I had an extra arm or leg I wouldn't notice that either!!!
I suspect swollen/blocked/infected lymph glands due to infections that all us lucky, lucky diabetics get from time to time!!!
What the devil are they?
