I am new to all of this stuff. But I have been noticing symptoms probably for about a year that were kind of weird such as palpitations and numbness in my arms when waking. I checked with my doctor he found nothing wrong. It lasted a little while and quit. Over the last appx. four months I have had a few palpitations and my cycles are at appx. 24 days instead of 28 and the first couple of days are a bit heavier. I also am having more cramping. I have never been one to have a lot of cramping anyway maybe only the first day and what I call "saddle cramps" they hurt where your body would touch on a saddle. Now after my cycle ends about a week later I have stomach cramps occasionly until my period starts but they aren't bad I just know they are there. I haven't went to see my doctor and I probably won't. Has anyone experience anything similar? I am assuming that my body is in the early stages of menopause.

Any new problems need to be reported to your doctor if they do no go away on their own. You doctor can not keep your medical records up to date if you don't keep him up to date on new problems or symtoms. You obviously don't need to rush in to see your doc but at the same time do make it a point to see him and get checked out. If you are starting menopause you may need hormone replacement therapy or at the very least extra calcium to help prevent osteoporosis. Osteoporosis can makes your bones very thin, weak and brittle and if you get it I can tell you that the drugs they use for it are not cheap if you don't have insurance to pay for them. Better to get this all checked out now while you are younger and have time to take preventative steps.
