Does anyone know if using vagifem tablets vaginally is safe without taking progesterin? I'm been on hormone therapy involving oral estrogen and progesterin of one kind or another for over 7 years but have decided to stop due to the recent findings on HRT. In the past 6 months I began using the vagifem tablets, also. I would like to continue using the vagifem tablets twice a week, though, if that's ok to do to deal with atrophic vaginitis and then find another alternative to deal with the osteoporosis issue. Does anyone know if it's safe to use without taking progesterin? Will be seeing my doctor on August 1 but thought someone might know. I hate to stop it in the meantime.
