I am 44 and basically fit and healthy. The last two months or so I've been getting super bad PMT. Sore boobs from about 2 days after ovulation to my period -so 2 weeks of it. Depression and bloating. My periods are normal and prety regular. I'm not on the pill. Help! I'm not that overweight but amd trying to lose about 3 kgs but my motivation for dieting and even exercise is really fluctuating and I'm getting nowhere. I do a reasonable amount of exercise as I"m a runner but can't get over 35 kms a week at the moment, I also do weight training and boxing training but its all suffering at the moment because I"m really battling for 2/4 weeks.

I've tried B6, Mg, Vitex agnus castus. I've just started eating tofu and soymilk. What else can I do. I'm also feeling nauseous quite a bit and not sure what that is - if its connected or what. I shouldn't be pregnant I've had a tubal ligation!

Help!

See whether you can get hold of one of John Lee, M.D.'s books, What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause, or What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause; of Christiane Northrup, M.D.'s book, the Wisdom of Menopause.

Both stress natural aproaches to deal with our changing bodies and have many suggestions.

I shall have a hunt. Thanks for the suggestion. I don't want to go on hormones becuase after 20 years on the pill I came off them becuase I was starting to get problems (cervical erosion) and I believe menopause is natural so we should be able to cope.
