hello,

i am only 23 years old and i recently found out i have osteopenia. of course i want to stop and reverse this as soon as i can.

what i am writing to you for, is b/c i went to a GNC store and they referred me to a product called OsteoPure. they said it re-grows bone, which nothing else can do.

i have to say that i didn't believe it, however my t-score can increased from -1.8 to -1.3....so its working, right?? i'm not sure how these dietary supplements work, so i'm hoping that its right.

i wanted to know if any of you have heard of this osteopure?? if you have--what have you heard? good and bad?? any and all feedback is welcome. i just want all the info. i can get....thanks ladies!

I looked at some of the research and studies on the osteopure website and didn't feel I saw anything really official although I didn't dig real deep. I would run a copy of the info from the website off and talk to your doctor about this product to get their input on this.

I think you need to be very careful. People in your position don't necessarily absorb calcium - no matter what they take so you may need ttmt with hormones to help you absorb the calcium. You also need to do weight bearing exercises. This is heavy low rep stuff. I'm sure any osteoporosis website will give you exercises. Running, circuit training etc are not the answer. Good luck.
