Hi,
I have lost my job as so has my husband.
We have no money and now we have no insurance.
I am on a thiazide diuretic, which is hydroclorot.
I am supposed to go to the doctor next month for my yearly exams and get my new prescription.
I can't afford to go to the doctor and I can't afford the medicine without insurance.
Is there a diuretic that I can get over the counter that will be the same.
I am so scared because I am now starting to not take my pills everyday so I can get them to stretch. I have about 20 pills left, if I take them every other day they can stretch to 40 days. Maybe I can take them every 3 days and get them to stretch more.
What do I do now?????
I am so beside myself.
My husband has heart problems and I have alot of health issues too.
Getting old sucks (but not old enough to get medicaid) and now when we need the insurance the most we don't have it. We were paying $600 a month for both of us through Blue Cross and now they have raised it to $900 a month for both of us.
I have never wanted to go on welfare, this is something that people who really need it have to use. I feel we will have to do this.
Now our house is in foreclosure and we have to file bankruptcy....
Why live??????

There are other programs besides Welfare Such as Medically needed Medicade-It is a program for health coverage through the Goverment and if neither of you are working you should Quilify-You would need to apply each month but It is for ones who need help now with med bills-I have had it in the past and was a great help in a time of need-You apply the same way you apply for Welfare-
