Anyone in Indiana get a hearing date or award lately? I have been waiting for 26 months, appealed 19 months ago?

do you have an attorney? what appeal are you on? there is a 800# on the ssa website to call but from what i hear its not that accurate but it may be worth a try. gooooood luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Initial filing-denied,reconsideration phase denied,waiting for alj hearing.

You should get an attorney, sometimes if you go into a hearing without one the judge will postpone your hearing until you get one. Judges want the hearing to be as fair as possible, and they actually are more worried, at least mine was, that we have covered all our bases. Mine postponed my hearing because she didn't like that the Medical SS Dr. was not prepared and pretty much said I could do light work when she was looking at my record and not coming to the same conclusion. Since I won she knew damn well the SS medical expert was not being neutral. Hell, it was a SS hired Dr. so it is in his best interest to make sure I get denied.
