Hi! I'm new to this board and found it during a web search for info on pre/perimenopause. I've read a couple of posts and found all of your info and insight to be very helpful, but I didn't see a "list of symptoms" so to speak so I was wondering if y'all could validate the one below. I also found this during a web search and the credits and info as to where I found it are also listed.
I'm only 31yo and have been dealing with 21 of the 35 below listed symptoms for two years now and have been told I'm "simply depressed, end of subject". I have felt all along there was more going on but that I was "too young" to have pre/perimenopause.
Thank you in advance for anything you can add to or expand on concerning this list.

Since your doc isn't taking you seriously I would consider getting another opinion. You should have your hormone levels checked along with testing for hypothyroidism. You didn't say if this was a GYN or a family practicioner that doesn't take you seriously but if it is a GYN then why not just see your primary care doc and let him do a diagnostic work up for you.

Hi, TooSoon ! I was soon but not soon enough as far as I am concerned ! LOL ! I am three months shy of 44 and was tested postive for Menopause two months ago.

The list you've printed is gone, but I have seen a list of like 80 symptoms ! of perimenopause and menopause on a website once.I also was told by a gynecologist, "It's too soon to test you. We don't test for peri until you skip 6 periods in a row."

I went to a different gynecologist nine months later and was a 39 on the FSH test - I was in peri-menapause ! Nine months later. I am a 91 ~ which my doctor said is Menopause.

At the same time, my general practioner was testing my thyroid and it was normal. My gynecologist thoroughly tested my chemistry and anatomy for nine months-I was so sick of seeing his office !LOL ! I have very good health insurance, so this expensive venture was easy for me to do at this time.

I wish I could see the list you had.Perhaps print it and paraphrase it or something. Some symptoms that I know of peri are : irregular periods, heavy bleeding or light bleeding, hair growth, hair loss, incontinence, urge incontenence, hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, fatigue -there are like many, many more, though.

Just go to a different gynecologist. They all come from different "schools" of thought so, you will find one who will take an interest, I am sure. Let us know how it turns out.

Your user name is cute - TooSoon ! :)
