I suffered with horrible cystic acne years ago that left me with pitted and rolling scars on my cheeks. The acne responded to spironolactone and birth control pills, which I have to take to this day (it's been ten years). So far, the best solution for me has been to use Retin A 0.10 %, to even out the rest of my skin (everyone should use retin a even if just for an age preventer because your skin will become luminous.) I have found that if the rest of my skin is flawless less attention will be on the scars. Also, I like Smashbox Photofinish face primer. Then, I like Makeup Forever HD foundation applied with a foundation brush. Avoid shimmery products, like blush, cause it will only accentuate the scarring. I feel very self conscious about my scars...eventually I would like to have laser resurfacing done or a filler injected to even the scars out.
