Yes - and it didn't help me because whatever you inhale is so strong it takes your breath away and makes you cough. It is very hard on your throat, too. It was so unpleasant I quickly gave up and went back to smoking. But I did eventually quit with Chantix.

I too quit with the ecig! I am 'vaping' my nicotine rather than smoking it and I feel wonderful :) My dr is happy with it as he says its equivalent to the nic inhaler and if it keeps me from smoking then its a good thing. I am using only 1/10 the nicotine I was smoking and all of my smoking related problems have gone away. It's great to feel good and not stink of cigarettes.

I agree with kerry that the first inhalation of the nicotine inhaler can be very strong and may take your breath away. However i quite enjoy this initial sensation, especially when you have a really bad craving for a cigarrette. If you inhale the inhaler really deeply it does knock you back alittle bit, but as you take a few more inhalations the strength of the capsule does weaken over time.
I have tried patches in the past, but missed the hand to mouth activity associated with smoking. So i soon gave up on the patches.
The inhalator keeps your hands busy, and also tricks your mind as you gradually wean yourself of the cigarettes.
If anyone is thinking of giving up smoking, then give the inhalator a try. I have gone almost 34 hours without a ciggi, and have not been as stressed as i thought i would. The reason i really want to succeed this time is because my greatest fear is having a stroke.
