Hi,,,,,,,,i am 46 years old. Lately seems it takes nothing to send me over the edge. Is crabby at the drop of a hat and take out on kids,,,,,,grandkids and hubby. Periods have changed in last few years. Skipped completely last month and now has had it for over a week and a half this month. Few months back had it for over two weeks. Have terrible night sweats,,,,and trouble sleeping. Now starting to have sweats during the day,,,,otherwise is freezing to death, hands feel like ice cubes half the time. Has not noticed any weight gain.Periods used to be very heavy with alot of clotting,,,,,,this month has been very slow and no clotting and just seems to hang on and on and on. Would be thankful for any info. if i am just hoping that is what is happening or could be something else,,,,,,,,,thanks

It sounds very much like the symptoms of menopause. I'd vote yes, you have started the change of life.

You should probably see a doctor for a physical and pap like usual. If you're having severe symptoms, the doc may have some things that can help get rid of them and make life more bearable for you.

Yep sounds like all the familiar signs of menopause. See your doc so you can decide how you would like to proceed with this next step of your life.

You may also want to have your thyroid checked while you are at it. Some of your symptoms could be from a thyroid disorder.
